See How Glo Now Roll Over Unused Data After NCC Directive

The Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) recently directed the major GSM network and internet service providers in the country to allow subscribers some additional days to use up their unused data after the expiration of their current validity period.

While the GSM network providers have started complying to the directive and have started rolling over unused data, Glo has added a twist to the data roll over directive.

On the directive, GSM network providers are supposed to roll over unused data immediately after expiration of subscribers’ validity period with no additional cost or another subscription but with Glo, Glo will only roll over your unused data to your next subscription. i.e. to say that you have to subscribe again before you will be eligible for data roll over; after a new subscription that is when Glo would now add up your previously unused data to your newly subscribed data bundle.

Though the Glo pattern of data roll over has its own advantage and disadvantage and the advantage is that your unused data that would be rolled over will now carry the same validity period with your new data subscription while the disadvantage there is that you need to do a new subscription before your previously unused data would be rolled over.

It would be recall that MTN recently rolled out their data roll over plan and with that of the MTN, monthly data subscription attract 7 additional free days to use up unused data without the need of additional subscription, while weekly data subscription gives additional 3 days data roll over period and daily data subscription gives additional 24 hour to use up unused data after normal data validity period expiration.
