NCC Mandates Telecoms To Allow Data Subscribers Extra 14 Days To Finish Up Unused Data

It is like help is quickly coming on the way of telecom data subscribers who are unable to use up their entire monthly data purchase within the 30 days validity period as the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) has waded in this time around by requesting telecom operators to allow subscriber extra free 14days to use up their remaining data.

Speaking at a recent consumer forum, the Executive Secretary of NCC Umar Danbatta issued the directives to all the major Telecom operators in the country to allow their customers who are unable to subscribe again for data roll-over after the 30days validity to continue using their remaining data for the next 14 days.

He added by saying that the year 2017 has been declared as year of telecom consumers.

In all ramifications, this is undoubtedly a welcome development and many telecom subscribers would be pleased with it, especially those who do subscribe for mega data plans that usually find it difficult to exhaust the data within 30 days maybe due to poor network connectivity most times or some other factors.
