Have you been in a situation whereby you noticed that the memory space of your SD card in your android phone ket opn diminishing from time to time, whereas it is not that you actually downloaded any heavy app or file to it but you noticed that the memory space are being eaten up?

And maybe in such situation, you might have tried using junk files cleaner app like MasterCleaner or others to see if you can clean up junk files in order to recover lost memory space, but after doing so, you still notice that it is only but small amount of space that is being freed up, while major memory space are still missing.

Some might even attribute it to virus eating up their phone’s memory card space; although you cannot completely rule out virus in some few cases, but hey! Wait a moment, those diminishing space on your memory card that you are complaining about are been used up normally from your activities with your device.

Now here is it, most of you use Whatsapp, Telegram and other chat messaging app, right?

And many of you have even joined various groups on those chat messaging apps, so let me tell you this now; have you forgotten that on the cause of using those apps, that your messages are constantly been archived?

Now where do you think those archived chat database are entering? Off course they are on your phone’s memory card.

And have you also forget that on those archived chat messages, that some of them contains heavy files like images, audios and videos that were been sent from time to time by either your chat mates or on the chat groups that you have joined. 

Those heavy archived files combined with backlogs of plenty normal text messages are mostly the culprit of your diminishing memory card space, without you ever reasoning towards that direction.

Now that we have drawn your attention towards that, you can now go and manually wipe off those archived files of those chat apps and see how you have been able to restore most lost memory space on your phone’s memory card that have kept you wondering overtime.

For example, to wipe off Whatsapp archived documents or media files, you can quickly locate your file manager, select SD card, and then locate the Whatsapp folder. From there you can choose media folder and you should be able to see the folders holding the audio, document, images videos and other files.

You can now open each of the folders to see the archived files and finally you can delete them accordingly to free up space on your memory card.
You can equally do same for other chat apps that you have installed and use on your phone.
