The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) through the Operation of Electronic Payment Channels has released a set of guidelines on how ATM should now be programmed to work, as part of security measures being put in place to strengthen ATM, POS and web transactions.

In one of the guidelines, it clearly mandated ATM operators across the country to program the ATM is such a way as to cancel transactions where individuals using the ATM shield their face from the hidden ATM’s camera.
