There are reasons why you might want to cancel your active MTN BIS plans, and the major reason why people do that is to enable them re-subscribe to another MTN BIS plan or to other data plan entirely, maybe as result of having exhausted the data allotted to them but validity period still intact.

To cancel your active MTN BIS plan at any time, simple SMS the keyword EXPIRE to 21600.

When you do that, MTN will notify you back with SMS telling you that you BIS have been cancelled.

But in case you did not receive any reply in few seconds from MTN after sending the required keyword as stated above, simply send the keyword STATUS in an SMS to 21600 to confirm if your active MTN BIS has been deactivated.
