MTN Stops Continuous Free 150MB MusicPlus Data, You Will Now Have To Pay For Subsequent Sub, See What's Next

As some of you might have noticed that the MTN MusicPlus free 150MB data that you do get at will and at any time for browsing on your android or PC has taken a new twist of fate.

MTN has finally placed a hold on the opt-out from the MusicPlus data, and even if you succeed by any means to opt out, to opt-in again, you will now have to pay.

If you recall formerly you can decide to opt out from the plan any time you like by sending Cancel7d in an SMS to 5900, and after that, you can opt in again to get another round of free 150MB, which can be done as many times as possible.

Now, if you send Cancel7d to 5900, MTN will place you on wait without opt-out and you will only get a reply acknowledging that your request has been submitted, though this opt-out issue seems like a temporal network glitch that will be rectified on time.

But that notwithstanding, as we said, even if you finally opt out, you will need to pay before you can re-subscribe for another 150mb MusicPlus data.

What is the way forward?

The MTN free 150 MusicPlus data can be gotten once now on new SIMs or SIM that you have not used to subscribe before, but after you exhaust the first free 150MB, you will have to pay N75 to renew your subscription for another 150MB.

Since you can only get it once now, and instead of you paying N75 to re-subscribe for only 150MB data, it is time to fall back to MTN BBLITE daily or weekly subscription that offers you 5GB and mind you they are still blazing like thunder on PC and android.

    1. Hi Elijah,

Yeah you will be given another 150mb when you send that, but what we are saying here is that after getting it once, you will not be able to cancel it again and resubscribe to it as before, and even when the validity expires, you will now have to pay before you can subscribe again.

      Thank you for dropping by
