But today, our main business is for those that are finding it difficult to use any of the above methods to browse and power up all their PC apps like Skype and others.

So we are going to be treating the issue in a special way, so you should be able to use any of the MTN BBLITE plans to browse and power up all your PC apps.

Don’t worry, the process is quite technical, but we are going to simplify it for you

Now, without further ado, let’s drive you down the steps you will need to browse and power up all your PC aps with MTN BBLITE plans.

·     You must subscribe for any of the BBLITE daily or weekly plan

·     You need an OpenVPN client software for PC. Download it here for 64bit system, but if your computer is 32bit then download here

·     After downloading, install it on your PC and close a notepad text window that will pop up after the installation.

·     You need OpenVPN server files, download them here. It is a zip folder; extract the content of the folder in any location on your system to see four OpenVPN server files.

·     Copy these four OpenVPN server files to clipboard

·     Now for Windows7 and other lower versions of Window OS, go straight to your Start button menu then to All Programs, then locate the OpenVPN folder and open it, you will see Utilities folder, open the Utilities folder to see Generate a static OpenVPN key.

In other words for simplified step to locate the Generate a static OpenVPN key it goes like this from Start button=>Allprograms=>OpenVPN=>Utilities=>Generate a static OpenVPN key.

·     As you have located the Generate a static OpenVPN key, right click on it and run it as administrator by right clicking and choosing the run as administrator option and click yes on the pop up that will come up

·      A command prompt window will come up, just tap on any key for it to disappear.

Note for Windows 8 users and above, you can simply locate the Generate a static OpenVPN key by just searching it out in the Apps section of your system. I.e. search for Generate a static OpenVPN key then right click and run as administrator just as indicated above.

·     Next is for you to go to your Computer=>Local disk (Drive C or hard drive)=>Program files=>OpenVPN(folder)=>Config(folder)=>Then paste the copied OpenVPN server files (i.e. the content in your clipboard) inside the Config folder.

·     Now insert your modem with your MTN line to your system and connect it to the internet i.e. if you have not already done that.

·     After you must have connected to the internet, locate the OpenVPN shortcut icon on your desktop, right click on it and run as administrator, click yes on the pop up, then you should see the OpenVPN running at the lower right end side of your taskbar.

·     Right click on the running OpenVPN icon on the taskbar to see options, you will see those four server files and settings option below

·     Click on the settings option to set up the OpenVPN. On the window that will come up, choose the manual configuration radio button to set up the HTTP proxy address and port.

·     For the address line, put 127.0.0.1 then for port use 8080 and click OK.

·     At this point, launch and minimize your simple server or your Xt181 portable proxy

·     Now, right click on the running OpenVPN icon on the taskbar again, then from those four servers that will appear, choose one (preferably any of the tcp files) and connect.

·     A window will come up asking you for username and password. Just visit VPNBOOK, copy the username and password that you will see there just somewhere below the page, come back to the OpenVPn and input those username and password (username and password are both case sensitive)

·     Click the OK tab after inputting the username and password and just wait for few seconds for it to connect. When it connects you will see that the colour of the OpenVPN icon on the task bar change to green signifying that it is connected.

You can now locate any browser or app of your choice on you PC and start surfing like never before.

Note: anytime you want to start up the OpenVPN afresh if you exited, you must always run it as an administrator, connect to any of the server files and key the username and password as all instructed above.
