Hosted Adsense Currently Not Showing/Displaying Ads On Blogspot Newly Introduced Country Specific Domains

On the 3^rd of September 2015, Google expanded the number of country specific domains for Blogspot to about additional 28 more countries.

Remember that before now, the country specific domains were few, and the common ones in the former lists were UK (.co.uk), France (.com.fr), Spain (.com.es) etc.

When you visit a blogspot blog from those countries, you will notice that your Blogspot is redirected to that particular country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD).

For example, if you vistit www.highteknology.blogspot.com from the UK, the domain appears as www.highteknology.blogspot.co.uk, if you visit while residing is Spain, it will appear as www.highteknology.blogspot.es and so to some other few countries.

But as from the date stated above, Google added more country specific domains to the list and if you are observant you will notice the ccTLD when visiting Blogspot blogs now from those newly added countries.

Countries like Nigeria (.com.ng), Indonesia (.co.id), Bulgaria (.co.bg), Egypt (.com.eg) etc. made the list…See below for full list of newly added ccTLD.

But there is a huge problem in the new introduction as blogspot blogs are now being redirected to the ccTLD of visitors and Hosted Google Adsense ads do not show on those newly introduced ccTLD.

If you are running a Blogspot blog with hosted Google Adsense, you will notice that your Google Ads stops showing on those ccTLD from the 3^rd of September and at your first notice, you will think that Google just disabled your Adsense account; but it is not so as your Ads keep displaying on other countries, including the ccTLD for those initial fewer countries.

Now what is the way forward?

If you have noticed that, you should bear in mind that you are not alone and everybody with hosted Adsense account and that runs their blog on Blogspot is affected.

This as seen by many is most likely a bug that needed fix from the side of Adsense and Blogger and the good thing is that both parties have been dully notified and they are now aware of that.

So little patient at this moment will do for now as you wait for feedback from Adesnse and Blogger for possible fix.

For those that operate their Blogger blog on custom domain, they need not to worry about this anomaly as they are not affected in any way.
