Yes you can now convert Firefox browser to use Google Chrome or opera extensions, as Mozilla Firefox recently launched new feature that will allow extensions specifically designed for Chrome and Opera to be used on Firefox browser.

For browser add-on developers, this will surely be a welcome development, knowing that they can easily built tools that are now compatible to many platform, thus a kind of lessening the burden of developing different but similar tools for each browser.

Though users will not be able to directly install the Chrome extension via Chrome store but will need to be verified by Mozilla and have the extension added through the official Firefox extension page.
