Etisalat Blackberry Data (BIS) Browsing on PC and/or Android

Well, I know most of you have been craving to use Etisalat BIS on your PC and/or Android and the good news is that you can now use your Etisalat BIS subscriptions on your PC and/or android without much hassle.

By now, you know that it is only Airtel BIS data plan that can be used on any devices without any form of tweaking.

Then for Glo, the BIS can be used on Android by IMEI tweaking and on PC by android tethering after IMEI Tweaking

Today we will be tackling that of Etisalat and we will be showing you how exactly you can use your Etisalat BB Data to browse on your PC or android.

Then for that of MTN, you can only use the BBMIDI or BBLITE plan on PC and/or android by applying simple server apk or simple server for desktop tweaks.

How do you now go about using Etisalat BIS on PC and/or android?

For PC users;

= => Subscribe to any of the Etisalat BISdaily, weekly or monthly plan

= => Then change your modem APN for etisalat to blackberry.net

= => Open and configure your browser to use proxy address as 10.71.170.5 and Port 8080

You can now start browsing on your PC

For Android users;

= => Subscribe to any of the Etisalat BIS daily, weekly or monthly plan

= => Go to your phone mobile network APN settings and create a new APN and use blackberry.net for APN, 10.71.170.5 for Proxy and 8080 for Port

Use the above set up for your default connection and start browsing; though it will not power up all your apps, but you can now apply Autoproxy to do.

Note for benefit of any doubt, you can always try it out first with the N100 Etisalat BIS and if you are satisfied with what you get, you can then go ahead and do the full weekly or monthly sub.
