How to Change Airtime or Credit Transfer/Share PIN of MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat

You all know by now that it is very easy to transfer/share credit/airtime balance to friends and families on MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat networks. And the transfer has to be done to subscribers on the same networks.

If it is your first time of using your SIM to transfer airtime, then you need to change the default transfer PIN to your own personal/secret PIN, and that is exactly what we are going to be showing you on how you can change the default transfer PIN to your personal PIN on MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat.

***Starting with MTN;

The MTN default transfer PIN is 0000 which you must change to your personal PIN before you can carry out a successful airtime transfer to other MTN subscribers.

To change the MTN default transfer PIN, simply send in an SMS 0000[space]NewPIN[space]NewPIN to 777;

For example if you chose 9876 as your secret PIN then the SMS you will send to 777 will look like this; 0000 9876 9876

***For Airtel;

The Airtel default transfer PIN is 1234 which you can also use like that to transfer/share airtime, but it is advisable to change it to your personal PIN and to change the default PIN to your personal PIN, simply send in an SMS to 432 as follows; PIN[space]OldPIN[space]NewPIN

For example to use 5678 as your personal PIN then your SMS to 432 should look like this; PIN 1234 5678

Note, Airtel charges you N10 additional fee for each transfer

***For Glo;

The default Glo transfer PIN is 00000 and to change it to your personal PIN, simply dial as follows; *132*00000*NewPIN*NewPIN#

For example to change your glo default transfer PIN to 12345, then you should dial it like this; *132*00000*12345*12345#

***For Etisalat;

The default airtime transfer PIN for Etisalat is 0000 and to change it to your personal PIN dial as follows; *247*0000*NewPIN#

For example to change your Etisalat default PIN to 9876, dial it like this *247*0000*9876#
