Confirmed: Airtel BIS data plans no longer zap data and has really been normalized

After battling with mass exodus of airtel subscribers from the airtel network, pertaining to the lack of joy on making use of airtel BIS plans to quench subscribers browsing quests, and as you all know what happened starting from the month of April when airtel decided to go haywire and zapped subscribers BIS data mercilessly.

Most probably, Airtel having seen the sadness on the faces off airtel subscribers and the negative impact it created to their businesses, they decided earlier this month to return everything pertaining their BIS data plans back to status quo before the month of April.
Confirmed: Airtel BIS data plans no longer zap data and has really been normalized

If you are missing in action here and still don’t understand what transpired on this airtel BIS data plans between the month of April and this month, you can refresh your memory with this two posts, April update on airtel BIS browsing on PC, Android and other devices and all airtel BIS data plans has been halved and airtel now zap BIS data.

Airtlel has introduced back the airtel BIS, so called unlimited 1 + 1 offer which allow some eligible SIM to get back whooping 4GB of data for N1,500 and for a period of 2 months. Again all the other BIS plans that the data were halved have also been returned to normal. For example, the N100 airtel BIS daily plan that was reduced from 80MB of data to 40MB was returned back to 80MB, and that of the other weekly, monthly etc. were also back to normal.

But one thing that I will like to point out here is that with this recent Airtel BIS plan come-back, some SIMs that were not eligible in the past to receive the 4GB for N1,500 this time around became eligible, whereas some that were eligible in the past became ineligible, as airtel computers reshuffled everything without any clear cut criteria of determining eligibility.

In other words, do not be surprised to see your former eligible SIM that you receive the bonus now become ineligible and vice versa.

You can still refer to this post, on how to know if your airtel SIM is eligible for the 4GB for N1,500 and for 2 months and more so you can always check here to see all the working airtel BIS plans that you can subscribed to with their prices, subscription codes, data caps and duration.

The main purpose of this article and as requested by many, is to clarify the issue on whether airtel BIS plan come-back still zap data at astronomical rate.

After much current usage, observation and scrutiny, I can confirm to you today that airtel no longer zap BIS data and everything have indeed been normalized.

For those that are still skeptical on whether to subscribe or not, you should entertain no fear again and go ahead to subscribe to any of the available plans provided the airtel network is somewhat stable in your present location. As you may want to know, that your internets speed on any of the four major network providers in the country vary a great deal with location.

If you are happy now, please use the comment box to show us and also pass this info to your friends by sharing so they will know that airtel BIS is now stable.

    1. Modupe, which of the airtel BIS plan did you go for, was it the 1GB or that of the 2GB? Dear my candid advice to you with the Airtel BIS you have to checked your SIM first to know whether you are eligible for the 4GB plan for N1,500 and if it happened that your SIM is not eligible, that you can only get 2GB for that same amount, then you should add 1k to it and opt for the MTN night plan.

Remember that the apart from the 3GB for the night, MTN night plan will offer you free additional 1.5GB that you can use any time of the day on any device, so it will be far better to use the MTN night plan in the event your airtel SIM cannot get 4GB. But you have to check first to confirm, and I hope you know how to check?
