Smartphone wars continues as Blackberry Z30 set to replace Z10

Just recently that Blackberry is letting the world know about its planned give away of what most considered as the company’s most treasured and unique app BBM to Android and iOS platform users, they have come up with their latest device, the Blackberry Z30 which is set to replace their current device, the Blackberry Z10 that was recently released at the beginning of this year.

One amazing trend that can be noticed these days is what seems to be smart phone wars among competitors is the speed in which new devices and upgrades are flooding the market, unlike before when it used to seem like an annual event, i.e. one new device or upgrade in one year. We are now noticing two or even more devices coming out the same year by most of these phone manufacturers.

I wrote about the HTC ONE MAX replacing the HTC ONE just recently, and now here come again the Blackberry Z30 replacing the Blackberry Z10, all just coming within a twinkle of an eye. I could recall exactly one month from now that I ordered the Blackberry Z10 for my client, but now again, I am beginning to feel that my client will now start seeing his one month old Blackberry Z10 as an old smartphone owing to this latest release of the Z30. But that notwithstanding, it is the entire surge in technological advancement that we are witnessing in this present era.

Going back to the latest blackberry Z30 announcement, some countries like Malaysia have already got the delivery of this new smart device, while the UK is hoping to have delivery of it by next week, and other countries to follow suit in the coming weeks.

Below are the major features of the new Blackberry Z30;

= => it is said to be the first blackberry with 5’’ super AMOLED display, making it the largest ever in its smartphone category.

= => also the first to use the BB latest OS, the BB 10 OS

= => it has a screen resolution of 1280 X 720

= => 8MP back camera with 2.0MP front camera

= => dual core processor with 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S40

= => 2GB RAM

= => LTE network supported

= => Dual band Wi-Fi 802

= => Bluetooth 4

= => 1080 video recording capabilities

= => Multiple Alarm

= => 2,880 mAh battery.

For me, I see no much difference in features with the Z10, except for the noticeable 5’’ display and the BB 10 OS which the device will be coming with, but I do know that Z10 user can easily upgrade their device to that new OS.

If you are a large screen lover like me, then I think the Z30 device will be a perfect device in that respect.

So can we say that blackberry got plans, because the Z30 is coming almost simultaneously with their planned letting out of BBM to Android and IOS platform users, or will we just say that Blackberry is just trying to remain relevant in the smartphone business with their recent stunts? One thing I believe is that only time will tell.
