Solution To I Can’t Make Or Receive Calls While On MTN 4G LTE Network

We noticed that some of you that are using 4G LTE phone that supports the MTN 4G LTE network bands have been complaining of inability to make or receive calls while on 4G LTE network, and it is making you to feel that there is something wrong somewhere and you are now thinking that either your phone is bad or that the network is poor.

And if it happens that you find yourself in that situation of not being able to use your MTN 4G LTE network on your phone to make or receive call, you should not panic or feel that something is wrong because it is normal.

MTN 4G LTE network like that of Glo 4G LTE network does not support Voice Over 4G LTE network (VoLTE), thereby when you switch your phone to 4G LTE only network mode while using the MTN 4G LTE network USIM, making or receiving calls becomes invariably impossible.

Therefore, to make or receive calls with your MTN 4G LTE network, you will have to switch the network selection mode to alternate between 2G, 3G and 4G or 2G and 4G or 3G and 4G; and by so doing, even when you are browsing over 4G LTE network, when call comes in, it will automatically switch to either 3G or 2G network for you to be able to receive your call.

In other words do not put your phone’s network mode to 4G LTE only if you intend to make and receive incoming calls while using it to access the internet.
